Painting Workmanship Warranty
Mint Pro Painting Ltd. ("Mint Pro Painting") warrants that all painting services performed will be free from defects in workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of project completion, subject to the terms and conditions outlined below.
1. Coverage
This warranty covers defects in workmanship, including but not limited to:
- Peeling or flaking paint caused by improper application
- Blistering or bubbling due to workmanship errors
- Uneven coverage or lap marks resulting from application technique
- Drips, runs, or sags caused by over-application
- Poor cut-in lines or edge work
- Failure of paint to adhere to properly prepared surfaces
2. Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Decks and fences
- Normal wear and tear, fading, or chalking due to UV exposure
- Damage caused by moisture, water intrusion, or structural movement
- Paint or materials supplied by the client
- Surfaces that were not properly prepared prior to painting due to pre-existing conditions (e.g., rot, mold, efflorescence)
- Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, or alterations made by others after project completion
- Color changes or touch-ups requested after project completion
- Damage caused by acts of nature (hail, wind, flooding, etc.)
- Specialty coatings or products applied at the client's request that fall outside standard painting practices
- Any work performed by third parties not affiliated with Mint Pro Painting
3. Warranty Claim Process
To make a warranty claim, the client must:
- Contact Mint Pro Painting in writing (email or text) within the warranty period, describing the defect and providing photos where possible.
- Allow Mint Pro Painting reasonable access to the property to inspect the claimed defect.
- Mint Pro Painting will assess the claim and, if covered, schedule repairs at no additional cost to the client.
4. Conditions
- This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original client.
- The warranty becomes void if unauthorized repairs or alterations are made to the painted surfaces.
- Full payment for the original project must have been received for this warranty to be valid.
- Specialty projects (e.g., faux finishes, decorative coatings) may carry a modified warranty period as outlined in the project quote.
5. Limitation of Liability
Mint Pro Painting's liability under this warranty is limited to the cost of re-painting the defective area(s) using the same or equivalent materials. Mint Pro Painting shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages arising from a warranty claim.
6. Governing Law
This warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada.
